Durum Gıda San. ve Tic. A.Ş., based in Mersin, is the producer of Arbella pasta. It says it was founded in 2002 and became part of the Canadian-based AGT Food And Ingredients in 2009. It describes itself as one of Türkiye's leading pasta and semolina producers, and the Arbella site places the brand among the world's ten largest pasta companies by production capacity and export potential. The company states an annual capacity of 180,000 tons of semolina and 160,000 tons of pasta. According to its site, Arbella pasta is made from 100% durum wheat in fully computer-controlled integrated plants without human touch, with quality tests before and during production and before and after packaging. The Arbella range is grouped into instant pasta, plain, Family, whole wheat, Gourmet, gluten-free and semolina. Shapes include rotini, penne rigate, farfalle and vermicelli, along with easy-open spaghetti, portioned spaghetti, lasagna, tagliatelle and gluten-free corn pasta. The company says it was the first in Türkiye to offer lasagna, tagliatelle and pasta with lentils and chickpeas. The company's English and Arbella pages say exports reach nearly 100 countries, from Africa to the EU and from Japan to Canada, while its Turkish corporate page says close to 80. Its policy commits to 100% halal production, and its certificates section shows logos for Halal, IFS Food, TSE TS 1620, ISO 22000, BRCGS and ISO 9001.
