Egypt
Badawy Group is an Egyptian group active in food industries, agricultural development, real estate and construction. It states that the Badawy family has served the food industry for more than 55 years on both a national and a global scale. The group includes Al Arosa Tea, which it describes as one of the leading tea products in the Middle East, the agricultural company Sherouk Land, and Rhodes Feta cheese, named as one of its latest expansions. The group says that when it planned its entry into pasta, the main concern was offering a superior product at a price suited to all consumer segments in the Egyptian market. To that end it built a wheat mill in cooperation with major European suppliers of high-tech milling equipment, and it imports durum wheat intended for pasta and stores it in the company's silos, producing flour made specifically for Hawaa Pasta. The factory is in the Industrial Zone of 10th of Ramadan City and, according to the company, is equipped with the latest high-tech pasta production lines. It follows food safety and health standards from the receipt of wheat shipments through to final packing, and it is ISO 22000 certified for food safety management. Hawaa Pasta comes in spaghetti, penne, big rings, small rings, elbows, shells, fusilli, risoni and vermicelli, in sizes of 400 g, 500 g and 1 kg. The site's shape collection also shows fettuccine and mini penne.
