Arabian Milling & Food Industries is an Egyptian joint-stock company (S.A.E.) established in 1997 within Salah Abo-Donkul Companies. Production began with Borg 1 Mill in 2004, with Bühler technology. The woven bags factory followed in 2006, the transport sector in 2008, 10th of Ramadan Mill (purchased and developed) in 2009, and the pasta factory and Borg 2 Mill in 2017. The pasta factory runs a Bühler long line for spaghetti at 5.5 tons per hour and a Bühler short pasta line at 6.5 tons per hour producing 25 shapes. The company later added two short pasta lines, one from Italy's Anselmo at 3.5 tons per hour and one from Bühler at 6.5 tons per hour, bringing capacity to 22 tons per hour. The factory has 26 Italian packaging machines and a 3,000-ton store, with packs from 300 g to 20 kg. The company mills 900 tons of wheat per day at Borg 1, which also has a 250-ton-per-day durum semolina line, 500 tons per day at 10th of Ramadan, and 900 tons per day at Borg 2, which has a feeding line to the pasta factory. Products include 72% extraction flour, semolina, bran, pollards and wheat germ. It describes itself as one of the leading wheat flour and pasta producers and exporters in Egypt. Its website displays ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and BRCGS certificates for its milling activity, and it says it was the first milling company on the white list of Egypt's National Authority for Food Safety.
