Almarai states that its story began in 1977 with fresh milk and laban processing in Saudi Arabia, later expanding into modern dairy farms and state-of-the-art processing plants. Its website says it offers 670 products across 20 brands and produces 4 million liters of milk a day. The Almarai dairy range covers fresh and long-life milk, laban and yoghurt, feta, halloumi, mozzarella, sliced and tinned cheeses, butter, ghee, gaimar and cooking cream, evaporated and sweetened condensed milk, milk powder and ice cream, alongside brands for juices, bakery and poultry. The company states it runs the largest food and beverage fleet in the Middle East (more than 12,000 vehicles) and that its products reach more than 220,000 points of sale across 7 countries, with offices and warehouses in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. It applies an ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 food safety management system and has a dedicated foodservice and manufacturing sales division, Almarai Pro.
