Almontab Food International Co. is a Yemeni food importer based behind Al-Thawra Stadium in Sana'a. Its website states that it was established in 1974 in Sana'a as a shop selling foodstuffs at retail; the shop grew into a supermarket, further branches opened in Sana'a to sell foodstuffs wholesale, and then branches opened in neighbouring governorates, before the management moved into money exchange and transfers and then founded the company as a food importer. It describes itself as one of the leading companies in this field in the Yemeni market and an agent for many large, well-known companies. The company says it has opened branches in all governorates of Yemen, plus a branch in the Sultanate of Oman and investments in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and that it has moved into international and domestic shipping, transport and customs clearance. It states that it owns a transport fleet able to cover all of Yemen's governorates, and shows a coverage map running from Saada, Al Jawf, Hajjah and Hodeidah to Taiz, Aden, Hadramaut and Al Mahrah. The catalogue on its site shows Vimto multi-flavour juices and Vimto mixed-fruit concentrated drink, Al Fakher mango juice in family size, and Saudia products: full-cream milk, berry, banana and chocolate flavoured milk, tomato paste, ketchup and mayonnaise. It also lists Barbican multi-flavour sparkling drinks and Barbican malt drink, an oat drink, and Al-Khareef products — 250 g pasta, 400 g vermicelli, tahini, cream and first-grade foul medames — along with red beans, white beans and green peas in 400 g packs. The company says its mission is to win the trust of local and regional markets by providing high-quality food products, and that its vision is to lead in spreading brands and manufacturing its own food products by 2030; it aims to enter manufacturing soon. Its stated objectives include customer satisfaction above 80% a year and expansion in local and regional markets.
