Al-Habsha Company for Industry and Trade (Dana Pasta) was founded in 1994 under Syria's Investment Law No. 10 and is based in Al-Nabk on the old Homs road in Damascus countryside. According to the Syrian Commercial Directory (Damascus Chamber of Commerce), it makes pasta, spaghetti and vermicelli from Syrian durum wheat semolina. Its products are sold under the brands Dana, Jokanda, Al-Hasad and Al-Jazira, and the plant capacity is 12,000 tonnes a year. The directory states that Dana won a European gold medal as best advanced food product in 1997 in Paris and holds ISO 9002 conformity certification.
