Danone Djurdjura Algérie

Danone Djurdjura Algérie (DDA) was born from a 2001 partnership between the global Danone Group and Laiterie Djurdjura, founded by Mohand Batouche in Akbou, Béjaïa in 1983. Its mission is to bring health through food to as many Algerians as possible. The company produces over 98,000 tonnes per year across two factories (Akbou and Blida) under its brands: Activia, Danette, Actimel, Oikos, Gervais, Danao, Danino and the Blédina infant nutrition range. It relies on its pioneering 'H'lib Dzair' network of over 1,300 partner farmers to source 80% of its milk locally. B Corp certified since July 2024, score 89.4.
