Enhance UAE (W.J. Towell Co. LLC)

Enhance UAE is the Enhance Group's operation in the United Arab Emirates and trades under the legal name W.J. Towell Co. (L.L.C), which the group's site says was established in 1972 along with the inception of the UAE; its corporate office is in the Jumbo Warehouse Building in Umm Ramool, Dubai. The group states that it was founded in 1967 as a partnership between W.J. Towell and Spinneys and that it now spearheads the FMCG cluster of Oman's Towell Group, and it says that over 50 years Enhance UAE has established itself as one of the leading distributors in the UAE. The company says it serves all trade channels: retail from hypermarkets to groceries, HORECA, stationery and duty-free. It states that it covers 100% of modern retail trade across the UAE with trade marketing, sales and merchandising services, plus more than 4,500 groceries, convenience stores and stationery outlets through a network of over 35 direct delivery vans, and more than 750 HORECA customers including premium 5- and 4-star hotels, airline catering and ship chandlers. Its site describes two independent logistics facilities for food and non-food, commissioned in 2016 in Dubai Industrial City, with over 26,000 pallet positions and temperature zones from ambient to -18 °C, and a fleet of over 75 delivery vehicles serving the whole UAE; its corporate profile adds sales offices and feeder warehouses in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, about 500,000 cases distributed a month, and third-party storage services. In its UAE food portfolio the company names Savola (Afia oil), Al Osra (sugar), Foster Clark's, Tata Consumer Products, Al Rifai, Lotte, Dilmah Tea, La Molisana (pasta) and Splenda, and its UAE food business-partner page also shows the logos of Ching's Secret and Organic India. The company states that in 2014 it acquired the Diamond brand, established in the UAE in 1986, which it calls a leading player in honey, canned fish, jams and peanut butter, coconut products, olives and canned fruits and vegetables; its brand development team manages Diamond and the Sultan brand (cornflakes, coconut milk powder and canned tuna) through a network of distributors across the GCC. Group companies in the UAE include Gulf Seafood, a frozen seafood processor in the Jebel Ali Free Zone with a BRC 'AA' rating and HACCP, Halal and FSSC 22000 certifications.
