Les Grands Moulins de Mauritanie (GMM) - Pasta Prima

Les Grands Moulins de Mauritanie describes itself as the first mill in the country since 2001. In 2016 it inaugurated a pasta plant with a long-pasta line and launched Pasta Prima, which the brand site calls the first pasta and spaghetti brand made in Mauritania; in 2017 a short-pasta line was added, doubling plant capacity. Each of the long and short pasta units has a capacity of 50 tonnes a day; products are sold on the local market and for export, with wholesalers and bakers as the main customers. The brand lists Spaghetti 500 g, Macaroni, Torti 500 g, Vermicelles, Gros Coudes and Plombs. The plant is in the Zone Industrielle du Wharf, Nouakchott, with a Pasta Prima sales centre on Avenue de l'Espoir.
