Alia Specialized Industries Co. (Zaitt) states that it was founded in 2001 as a producer of high-quality Jordanian virgin olive oil, and that its founders set up the factory after extensive study, committing to international quality standards in production. Its office is in Amman (3rd Circle, Mithqal Al-Fayez Street), and its website says it brings Nabali olive oil "from the mountains of Ajloun to the plains of Al-Koura". The range includes cold-pressed, first-press Nabali extra virgin olive oil in 250 ml and 500 ml glass bottles, Holiva extra virgin olive oil in 250 ml and 500 ml dark glass bottles, Nabali green zaatar (thyme, toasted sesame, sumac and spices) in 250 g and 450 g packs, and Al Alia premium Medjool dates in 450 g packs. The company also states that it produces other vegetable oils — soybean, palm and sunflower oil — and ghee. The company states that it holds US FDA and Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) certificates and that its olive oil has won several awards at international olive oil tasting competitions.
