Sara-M Food Industries is the Iraq branch of a Bulgarian company founded in Sofia in 1992; the Iraq branch was registered in 2018 and is headquartered in Baghdad. The company describes itself as specialised in the production, refining and packaging of vegetable oils. It is the investor and operator of the Imam Ali Al-Hadi Vegetable Oil Factory in Maysan Governorate under a participation contract with the State Company for Food Products of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and is rehabilitating the plant and reviving the Al-Bint brand. Its site gives a factory area of 105,000 m² and a capacity of 60,000–100,000 tons per year. Its main product is Al-Bint sunflower oil in a 1 L bottle, with larger sizes announced as coming soon. The company states that its products are approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Health in cooperation with accredited laboratories.
