K.K. Rice Mills (Pvt) Ltd is the rice arm of the K.K. Group of Companies in Karachi, with more than 35 years of experience in agriculture and commodity trading across three family generations. It was founded by the late Mr. Keso Kewlani and is led today by Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani as CEO, who also chairs the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP). The group runs four plants with installed capacity above 2,500 metric tons per day and annual throughput exceeding 300,000 metric tons, backed by warehousing for 250,000 metric tons. Its principal facilities are a rice processing and silky plant in the Eastern Industrial Zone at Port Qasim, and a husking, parboiling and processing plant at Nooriabad that also houses a sesame unit rated at 150 tons per day. The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certified, operates a complete modern laboratory for paddy and rice with quality control from raw material through to shipment, and offers third-party inspection via SGS, Intertek, Cotecna and Bureau Veritas. Its range covers basmati (1121 Kainat, 1509, Super Kernel, D-98 and brown basmati) and non-basmati (IRRI-6, IRRI-9, PK-386), alongside sesame seeds, yellow maize, pulses and other commodities. Its brands include MARA, ORTUM, GilGil and Captain, and it exports to more than 50 countries serving over 800 clients.
