M.M. Rice Mill (Pvt) Ltd was established in 2007 as part of the M.M. Group of Companies, founded in 1986 by Mahmood Baqi Moulvi starting with marine shipping services. The company operates three rice mills within the Port Qasim industrial zone in Karachi, with combined processing capacity of 1,000 tons per day, equipped with pre-cleaners, de-stoners, paddy separators, abrasive and mist polishers, and Bühler (Switzerland) Sortex length and colour graders. Product quality is inspected by the third party SGS before export. Its output is exported under the M.M. Commodities division, which exports rice, sesame and corn, and the group trades with major global grain houses such as Olam, Louis Dreyfus, Cargill, ADM and COFCO. The group (at the rice and commodities level) has won multiple export awards from Pakistan's FPCCI, the Rice Exporters Association (REAP) and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce.
