Kuwait Flour Mills Company was established after Kuwait's independence in 1961; after merging with the Kuwaiti Bakeries Company in 1988 it became one of Kuwait's leading industrial branches. Its site lists factories for mills, macaroni, biscuits, vegetable oil, Arabic and European bakeries and animal feed. The macaroni catalogue includes spaghetti, fettuccine, capellini, lasagna, vermicelli and nests, a whole durum wheat line and the Al-Joud brand. Most products come in 500 g packs. The company states it established its macaroni factory in 1969.
