Fresco Foods (F.F.) is an Abu Dhabi-based company that presents itself as a major food importer and distributor offering high-quality, affordable fresh and frozen meat, poultry, seafood and produce; its logo carries the Arabic line "trading in all foodstuffs". The About section says Fresco Foods was established in Egypt and is a conglomerate based in Abu Dhabi with business activities in 22 countries through 14 branches in Egypt and the GCC (Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia), and founder Eng. Ahmed Makawy speaks of 20 years of serving clients in the UAE, Egypt and other countries. Its facility is Cold Storage 1, M44, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, and the site says its trucks cover all areas of the UAE with 24/7 service and that it maintains a modern logistics system. The company says it supplies over 1,500 businesses, including grocery stores, hypermarkets, conventional markets, restaurants, luxury hotels, hospitals and companies that charter yachts and planes, and that it ships worldwide with a courier of the customer's choice, alongside local deliveries and an online store. Fresco Foods says it sources from trusted farmers and food growers in the USA, Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, the UK, South Africa, Kenya, India and Pakistan. The fresh foods listed on its site include lamb from Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Australia, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Sudan, Russia and local supply, among them Indian and Somali lamb and Kashmiri and Naimi sheep; Pakistani and Indian beef; camel meat; fresh chicken (whole, quarter leg, liver); fresh fish; and fresh fruits and vegetables. Its frozen range covers frozen chicken (whole, quarter leg, shawarma, breast, liver, gizzard, hearts, wings), frozen fruits, frozen vegetables and frozen seafood. The company says it implements the hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) approach and other internationally recognised standards for food safety and hygiene. Its Concentrates page also presents fruit purees (strawberry, guava, peach, mango, apricot and apple) in aseptic bags and tomato paste made from Egyptian tomatoes for food-service and B2B clients.
