Juhayna Food Industries is an Egyptian company founded in 1983 by Safwan Thabet that produces, processes and packages dairy, juice and cooking products. It states it was the first to bring packaged milk to the Egyptian market and that it is the leading dairy company in Egypt. The company states it operates four manufacturing plants, including the El Dawleya complex (operational since 2009), the El Marwa factory (1998) and the El Masreya factory (acquired in 2005), plus two specialized facilities for yogurts and yogurt drinks such as Rayeb and Zabado, and a fully owned 600-feddan livestock farm with capacity for 7,500 milking cows. It lists more than 200 products, over 4,000 employees and a distribution network serving more than 262,000 retail outlets. The company states its products have reached 62 countries and that it runs an integrated management system to ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
