Emdad is a Yemeni company in Aden that specialises in café supplies. It says it was established at the beginning of 2017 by Muhammad Al-Naqeeb to provide raw products to cafés in Aden governorate in southern Yemen, and remained so until mid-2019, when it opened a small showroom that began offering more products along with some café equipment. At the beginning of 2021 the showroom was expanded and the company signed a contract with Monin to become Monin's exclusive agent in Yemen, and it also opened what it describes as the first drinks training and preparation studio in Yemen. The company says it provides café products and equipment wholesale and retail and works with international agencies to offer products of international standards under one roof, describing itself as the 'best company for café shops' in equipment, supplies, flavours and recipes. It lists three services: supplying raw materials and equipment to cafés on request; coffee-shop recipe training, with hundreds of recipes to choose from and team training by appointment; and customer support that answers enquiries within 48 hours. Its team comprises the founder and CEO and the marketing, sales and purchasing managers, and its showroom opens Saturday to Thursday. The company says the basic materials for running a café range from syrups and sauces to flavour powders. Its product menu lists Monin syrups in 700 ml, 1 l and 250 ml bottles in dozens of flavours such as almond, apricot, coconut, mint, kiwi, pomegranate, berries, cherry, guava, lavender, rose, saffron, caramel, hazelnut, toffee and vanilla; Monin fruit mixes in 1 l bottles such as passion fruit, banana, fig, date, mango, lychee and pineapple; lemon, raspberry and peach tea syrups; caramel and dark-chocolate sauces; frappé powders in vanilla, chocolate, yoghurt, coffee and mocha plus a smoothie enhancer; raspberry, strawberry and apple slush; and Italian espresso, French coffee and Turkish coffee. The company also offers café accessories such as syrup and sauce pumps, metal racks, latte-art pens, measuring tools and shakers, as well as drink-preparation equipment. It states that its mission is to provide excellent customer service that gives it a competitive advantage in the Aden market, and that its vision is to be number one in its field within the next five years.
