Arab Dairy (Panda) was established in September 1985 as an Egyptian joint-stock company and began production in 1990. It was originally set up to produce white cheese, and in 1990 its objective was expanded to cover all dairy products and cheese types; its shares have been listed on the Egyptian Exchange since January 2001. The factory is in Sandbis, Qanater El Khairiya, Qalyubia Governorate, with the administrative office and sales branch in the Katameya industrial zone, Cairo. The company states it produces white, processed and Swiss cheese under the Panda, Dairy and Panda Gourmet brands and complies with ISO 9001 and HACCP procedures. Its website lists exports to 22 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Turkey, Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania and Thailand.
