Al-Akkad Company for Industry and Trade owns the Syrian brand Sedi Hisham and is based in Al-Adliyah, Rural Damascus, according to the quality certificates published on its website, which now also uses the name 'Sedi Hisham Company for Industry and Trade'. The company states that it owns most of its supply chain, from raw materials through manufacturing and packing to distribution, and that its selected grains are packed on modern machines untouched by hand. Its range covers first cold-pressed virgin olive oil (250 ml up to 16-litre tins) and sunflower oil, vegetable ghee, sheep ghee and cow ghee, plain and pistachio tahini halva and tahini, tomato paste and ketchup, jams, olives of many types (Tephahi, Salkeni, Kalamata-style, sliced, stuffed), makdous, vine leaves, artichokes and pickles, alongside pulses and grains (lentils, chickpeas, fava and other beans, bulgur, freekeh, semolina, kishk), rice, sugar, pasta, tea, zaatar and a wide range of spices and blends, pomegranate molasses, vinegar, orange blossom and rose water, tuna, corn, mushrooms, falafel mix and dried molokhia. Its website displays ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018 certificates issued in 2020 by InterCert (Germany) for 'production, trading and filling of olive oil and foodstuff products'. The company states that its products reach Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Germany, Austria, the UK, Malaysia and Australia through more than 30 partners and agents, and it exhibited at Gulfood 2026 in Dubai.
