PASTOR MACAO is a Moroccan confectionery and chocolate manufacturer based in Casablanca. It started in 1948 as a small production unit and grew into a thriving confectionery-chocolate company from 1954; it presents itself as the market leader in Morocco, with its white-elephant-on-red logo known across generations. The range covers several families: confectionery (lollipops, hard candies, sugar-free hard candies, chewy candies, caramels, gummies and dragées), chocolate (sugar-free chocolate, chocolate bars, assorted chocolates and chocolate spreads) and wafers (filled wafers and coated wafers). For bakery and pastry use it supplies pastry chocolate, candied fruits, fillings and decorations and sweetened cocoa powder, plus a celebrations line with fine confectionery, filled pralines and nougat. The company states its products are Halal, that it is ISO 9001 and IFS certified and authorised by Morocco's ONSSA to export. It runs an in-house R&D laboratory and its products are sold in several countries.
