Sharawi Brothers Gum (Abdul Azeem Sharawi & Bros Co.)

The company states that in 1932 Abdul-Azeem Sharawi, the eldest of six brothers from a merchant family known in Jerusalem and later Amman, founded the "Sharawi Chewing Gum Factory"; the family then moved into manufacturing with the Sharawi Bros chewing-gum factory just outside Amman, completed at the end of 1965, with production starting in 1966. It says the plant has since grown to six times its original size. The range is chewing gum only, in several lines: Sharawi Two Dragees (2-piece packets) in mastic, strawberry, watermelon, fruit, coffee, cinnamon, peppermint and licorice flavours, the best seller being the mastic 2-pack; the original Sharawi SB (4 dragees in a small cube pack) in peppermint, fruit and cinnamon; and Sharawi Wribson in spearmint and coolmint, all shipped in cartons of display boxes. The company states it holds ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP certificates and that its gum is sold in Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Libya, Qatar, Syria, Kuwait, Turkey, Germany, Canada, Australia, the USA, New Zealand, Palestine, Sudan, the UAE, South Africa, Bahrain and Sweden. It is listed in the Jordanian Exporters Directory 2025–2026 published by the Amman Chamber of Industry.
