Transmed Lebanon

Transmed Lebanon is the Lebanese arm of the Transmed group, with its head office on Foch Street, Plot 225, in the Beirut Central District. The "Our Story" section of the group's website states that Transmed was established in 1943 by the Es-Said, Angelopolo and Khattar families in the Beirut Central District, that the business started in Beirut, and that Lebanon remains one of the group's most strategic markets. The group describes itself as a distribution company now headquartered in Dubai and one of the largest and fastest-growing FMCG distributors, representing multinational companies in the Levant, the Gulf, Africa and Europe, with more than 40 distribution centres in ten countries besides Lebanon. The Lebanon page says that since its establishment Transmed focused on distributing a very extensive range of household and personal-care products from Procter & Gamble and Clorox, and in parallel developed the distribution of food products, starting with the Mars confectionery range and expanding it over the years to include many other brands. The coverage map published on the page shows the head office in Beirut, sub-offices in Tripoli, Baabda, Zahle and Sidon and a distribution partner in Hermel, while its own distribution markets cover the remaining districts, from Akkar, Miniyeh-Danniyeh, Zgharta, Koura, Bsharri, Batroun, Jbeil, Keserwan, Metn, Aley and Chouf to Jezzine, Nabatieh, Tyre, Bint Jbeil, Marjeyoun, Hasbaya, Rashaya, Western Bekaa and Baalbek. In food, the Lebanon brand list shows Mars, Snickers, Twix, Galaxy, Bounty, M&M's and Maltesers chocolate, Skittles candy and Extra gum, Pringles crisps, Bahlsen biscuits and Maxwell House Professional coffee, as well as the Mattino bakery brand and JS Honey. Its non-food lines include Procter & Gamble brands such as Ariel, Tide, Pampers, Gillette, Oral-B, Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Always, Ambi Pur and Bonux, along with Duracell, Clipp, Yes, Rentokil Boecker and pet food. The page lists Transmed's partners in Lebanon as Mars Incorporated, Procter & Gamble, Duracell, JS Honey, Boecker and Gimco. Group news reports that Transmed Lebanon received Bahlsen's Special Recognition Award for 2022 for continued execution excellence, and that for the second consecutive year it was recognised at Bahlsen's Annual Partners Dinner for its 2025 performance with two awards: 2nd Runner-Up for Best Distributor and a Channel Expansion Recognition Award for bringing Zoo biscuits into the pharmacy channel's kids' section, making it the first distributor in the region to do so. The group sums up its dream as being "the best partner for building brands that people love".
