United Oil Processing and Packaging is a 100% Egyptian company established in 1987. It began as a soft oil refiner and expanded into trading, packaging, distributing and exporting the full range of vegetable fats and edible oils. The company states that it operates three oil refining plants and a PET packaging facility in the 10th of Ramadan industrial zone. Its products include sunflower, corn, soybean, cottonseed and blended oils, palm olein, vegetable ghee, shortening and margarine, under brands such as Shahd, Sindbad, Morgana, Ghalia, Quest, L'ORO and Golden Palm, and it also works as a contract packager for retail chains. The site lists FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, Halal and RSPO certification, and the company says it has exported to countries across Africa, the GCC and the Middle East.
