Mohammad Hussein Atieh & Partners Co. (MHA) says it was founded in 1954 by Mohammed Hussein Atieh in the oldest and best-known foodstuff wholesale market in Amman, with the aim of importing, selling and distributing consumer food products, and describes itself today as one of the leading companies in this sector in the Jordanian market, distributing a wide range of products through partnerships with numerous international brands and companies. The company says it operates a fleet of over 150 distribution vehicles, making it one of the largest distribution and marketing companies in the Kingdom, and that it covers sales channels across Jordan — malls, supermarkets, restaurants and pharmacies — from north to south. Its cash-van division alone covers over 11,986 retail outlets, alongside over 348 key accounts, 307 wholesale customers and 225 pharmacies. The sales team includes 10 supervisors, 72 cash-van salesmen, 12 wholesale salesmen, 20 distribution drivers and 20 merchandisers, using hand-held devices and real-time order booking. It has around 5,000 m² of storage and owns National Wings Co., which manages the Al-Mahatta bonded free-zone area with about 17,000 m² of storage in the heart of Amman. Its partners page shows four companies: Edita Food Industries, the regional baked-goods maker known for Molto, HoHos, Twinkies and Bake Rolls; Seville Products, a maker of chocolate, biscuits, wafers and ice cream whose brands include Piccadilly, Tiffany and London Dairy; Turkey's OYAK Group, founded in 1936, whose best-known brands include Sarelle and Tadelle; and Italy's Champion, a maker of chewing gum and confectionery. The company notes that most of its items have a shelf life of about four months, which calls for fast distribution. The company states its vision as being the leading distributor of consumer food products in the Kingdom and its mission as strengthening customer trust, expanding distribution channels and offering high-quality products through well-known commercial agencies, with plans to acquire new international agencies and enter regional markets.
