Zalloum Bros Trading Co. Ltd presents itself as one of the largest food companies in Palestine, headquartered on Al-Salam Street in Hebron; its logo carries the Arabic abbreviation for a private shareholding company. Its website states that its trading activity began in 1954 in the Al-Qazzazeen commercial district of Hebron's old town under the late Al-Hajj Saleem Abdul Fattah Zalloum, with a shop selling foodstuffs, candies, sweets and juices, and that in 1993 the brothers established a public shareholding company and turned to importing from international markets, later converting it into a private shareholding company when it moved to its current headquarters. The company says its headquarters stands on a 10,000 m² plot with 6,000 m² of buildings, of which 5,000 m² are warehouses and showroom and 1,000 m² offices, plus about 6,500 m² of loading and unloading areas, with ventilation, lighting, temperature control, cold rooms and fire and alarm systems, and that a 2022 expansion brought total warehouse space to 8,000 m². It runs a fleet of large, medium and small trucks, including refrigerated trucks: the large trucks carry containers from ports and crossings to the warehouses, while the medium and small trucks deliver to customers in all regions. The fleet exceeded 25 trucks by 2012, and the customer base reached 9,000 customers. The company imports about 1,500 items of food, candies and juices from more than 40 countries. Its online shop shows biscuit, cake, wafer, chips, juice, soda, gum, cold-drink and pickle categories, including Lion chips and Break corn snacks, Jordina cakes, Swiss rolls and wafers, OG wafers and tarts, Delicia biscuits, Enjoy juices and nectars, Sifa sodas and carbonated mineral water, Juss iced tea, Lamira cappuccino, Dizzie gum and Mushkil pickles. It lists Lion, Enjoy, Jordina, Juss, Mushkil, Break and Delicia as its brands and shows Halwani Bros, YoloDuck, Next, Flis, Holeywood, Hikinco, Miss U, 4D and Grona among its partners. The company states that in 1999 it obtained ISO 9002 certification, making it one of the first food companies in the country to do so. It works through six divisions: import and procurement, sales, finance, marketing and public relations, warehouse and quality control, and administrative affairs. Its strategic plan includes diversifying its range, increasing the number of wholesale and retail points of sale and taking part in supply tenders for the public and private sectors, and its stated vision is a commitment to the highest quality standards because it works in a sector directly linked to human health.
