RESCOM (SARL RESCOM) is a limited liability company of the Hamiani Group, based on the Birtouta road in Khraïcia, Algiers. The group's website states that RESCOM is in charge of distributing the products imported by its sister company FOODISH (SARL FOODISH) throughout Algeria, and that over time it has established itself as a major player in agri-food distribution and become a leader on the Algerian market. The group is a family-run set of Algerian private companies whose history goes back to the 1930s and which diversified in the late 1990s into sectors including agri-food. The group says RESCOM delivers products thanks to a large vehicle fleet and a wide client portfolio, and that it has built a large database through excellent supplier and customer relationships. It has branches in Algiers, Oran (Hai Khemisti, Bir El Djir) and Sétif (activity zone). It operates in all commercial segments: direct sales, key-account sales and wholesale. Its distribution network covers general food stores, mini-markets, grocery shops and hypermarkets, as well as restaurants, hotels, caterers, cafés, fast-food outlets, tearooms and wholesalers. FOODISH, the site states, specialises in importing agri-food products and is the exclusive representative in Algeria of many internationally renowned brands. Its 'Our partners' section shows brands including Elle & Vire (butters, UHT creams, yogurts and cream desserts), Paysan Breton (butters, cheeses and UHT creams), Del Monte (fruit juice with fruit pieces), Red Bull (energy drinks), Rauch (fruit juices), Bavaria (malted drinks), Villars (Swiss chocolate maker), Révillon Chocolatier (chocolates), Storck (sweets), Poult (sweet biscuits), Vahiné (pastry products), St Dalfour (100% natural marmalade), Materne (100% fruit compotes), Ducros (culinary spices, herbs and condiments) and Lorenz (aperitif snacks, chips and salted biscuits). The site states that FOODISH has a very active marketing department of about twenty people, organised in three teams for merchandising, sampling and event management, with a strategy focused mainly on direct 'street marketing'. It says the company maintains excellent relationships with its partners and ensures a weekly supply of its products, and that it has set up a dedicated transit service entirely devoted to the transport and receipt of goods.
