Makki Group for Food Industries

Manufacturer• Syria• Member since 1952

Makki Group for Food Industries is a Damascus sweets house that traces its story to 1952, when Mohamed Adel Makki began making maamoul by hand in Damascus; his sons carried on the craft without interruption across three generations. Its factory is in Al-Kiswah, Rural Damascus, and its website says the group runs more than twenty trademarks across three divisions, including Hala Al-Tamr and Peanuts World, an industrial nut-paste operation in Aleppo; its Gulfood 2026 profile says the group includes Makki Foundation, Alam Al-Fustuq and Alam Al-Pistachio. The range covers maamoul with dates, raha and nuts; the Damascene petit-four assortments Gefour and Geone (barazek, ghraybeh, kaab el ghazal, fella, sablé) in 500 g tubs; Latar swirled shortbread filled with chocolate plus Latar liquid spread; Darko chocolate-coated filled cake; Triangle cream-filled crisp corn fingers and Carlo crisped corn with nuts and chocolate; Daity date-filled biscuits, chocolate-coated Fingers and Tasty cocoa-cream biscuits; the Lavera white chocolate and chocolate range; and Hala Al-Tamr date sweets filled with sesame, peanut, pumpkin seeds, cocoa, walnut and almond. The company's website says it exports to 13 markets, sets a minimum order of one pallet per line (mixed pallets on request) and a lead time of 21 days from confirmed order. It lists Halal, ISO 22000 and HACCP certification, with documents sent on request. The group exhibited at Gulfood 2026 in Dubai.
