Near East Olive Products (NEOP)
Manufacturer• Syria• Member since 2001
Near East Olive Products (NEOP) was founded in 2001 by professional partners who saw the development potential of Syria's olive oil sector and combined it with European know-how and technology; its Gulfood 2026 exhibitor profile names the founders as Kamal and Omar Adi, father and son, and says two generations of the family now run it. Its headquarters and plant are on Mharda Road in Hama; the company says the plant uses up-to-date technology and that its team was trained by Italian experts and the International Olive Council. NEOP sells olive oil pre-packed or in bulk, including extra virgin and virgin olive oil under its own Serjella brand and other brand names, in glass bottles from 250 ml to 1 L, PET bottles from 250 ml to 5 L, tins from 175 ml to 18 L and 2, 5 and 10 L plastic pouches, and offers white-label filling in personalised bottles or tins. Its GS1 Syria listing also shows Halabi and Sorani black olives under the Bara brand in 8 kg packs. The company states that it holds ISO 9001:2015 and HACCP certifications, that its laboratory uses gas chromatography and spectrophotometry, and that oil is checked five times and stored in stainless steel under a nitrogen blanket. It says it was the first to sell Syrian olive oil in bulk to Europe, accounts for over 40% of Syria's olive oil exports, and ships to Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, the USA and China.
