Ismail Ali Abudawood Trading Co. Ltd. (IATCO)
Ismail Ali Abudawood Trading Co. Ltd. (IATCO) is the trading and distribution company of the Abudawood Group, headquartered in Jeddah. The group's website describes it as a prominent trading company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia specialising in the import, distribution and marketing of high-quality consumer goods, playing a key role in connecting international brands with the Saudi market. The site states that Sheikh Ismail Abudawood founded Abudawood in 1935 as a modest venture, after which the group moved into manufacturing through a joint venture with Procter & Gamble and collaborations with companies such as Clorox. The site says IATCO focuses on distribution, logistics and retail solutions, using its extensive network and market knowledge to deliver products efficiently to retail stores, wholesalers and other partners. The group offers key account management, retail sales, van sales to small and remote outlets, logistics (storage and transport) and in-store merchandising. At group level it cites 260,000+ stores covered, 4,000+ employees, 1,500+ vehicles and 80 million+ cases delivered annually. On the partners page the Quaker brand is shown for Saudi Arabia — the only food brand the site attributes to the Saudi market; the other food brands on that page, such as Ferrero, Kellogg's, Hershey's, Dr. Oetker, Panzani, Dilmah and Agthia, are attributed to the group's Bahrain market, and Nestlé to Egypt. The Saudi partner list on the site also includes non-food brands such as Procter & Gamble, Clorox, 3M and Cosmaline.
