Orient Gate

Syria• Tartous

Orient Gate is a Syrian company located in southern Tartous, seven kilometres from the city centre, a city it describes as one of Syria's most important strategic ports on the eastern Mediterranean coast. The company says it specialises in the filtration and packaging of olive oil in line with the standards set by the International Olive Council, and its logo reads 'For Producing & Packing Olive Oil'. It offers two grades: extra virgin olive oil from cold-pressed olives with acidity of no more than 0.8% and peroxide below 20 mg oxygen/kg, and virgin olive oil with acidity of no more than 2%, both free of any refined oil.
